Research pages

Every product described on the pages below is fictional. None of them exists, none is for sale, and no company, price or customer named on them is real.

Quiet Failure Records hosts a small set of research pages used to study how automated systems — search crawlers and AI answer engines — read pricing information from a web page. The pages are plain, static and self-contained, and each one describes a single invented software product with a single invented price.

The study varies how the pricing information on each page is presented and then records what automated systems reproduce. The pages are deliberately not identical to one another. The full method, the variations and the results are published by CoreAEX after each observation window closes; the specific design of each page is described there rather than here, because publishing it alongside the pages would change what the study measures.

Why this sits on a record label's site

Quiet Failure Records and CoreAEX are both operated by Zarko Zivkovic. The research pages are hosted here because the study needs pages on a domain the researcher controls outright and can leave unchanged for the length of an observation window. They are not advertising, they are not for sale, and they are unrelated to the label's music catalogue.
